The Holidays

Hope everyone had a splendid holiday season! Sorry for the mass amount of pictures....I took a blogging break for a while. Here they are in no particular order (because blogger is annoying like that, anyone agree?) - - -

- I left my heart in Chicago -
I love this picture, with the Chicago Theatre sign and the Marina Tower condos in the distance
Check out that blue sky! It's deceiving....the temp was only about 10 degrees.

Our 2nd annual New Years Day sight seeing trip. Last year we went to the Winter Classic at Wrigley Field. This year we went to the bean!

One of my favorite Christmas presents was my food processor, I love it! I keep finding excuses/recipes to use it. I've made some pesto sauce which was super easy and goes great on pasta, sandwiches and pizza. The other night I made sweet n' sour chicken for Ryan and I and made crab rangoons to go with it, so delicious!

Who knew there were such beautiful sunsets during the winter?

Ryan and I had our Christmas dinner at 25 Kitchen + Bar, a new restaurant downtown GR. It's a fun place with 25 different pizzas from around the world, 25 cocktails and 25 draft beers. They also have a menu of other foods ranging from sandwiches to an apple pork flambe...as seen below! It's actually on fire but you can't see it

Enjoying a snow day with Gisele!

On another note, I start class next week! I'm kind of nervous. I visited the campus a few weeks ago and had no idea where I was going or what I was doing, quite different from my days at Hope! While at Hope I never had to find my classrooms ahead of time, I would just show up at the building on the first day, find my room and sit down next to whoever I knew. At Grand Valley, I'll be showing up at a completely unfamiliar building and be in a class with complete strangers! Wish me luck!
